Ok, as you can tell from my screenname i am a Lord of the Rings fan. So, now that I have Gmax and Photoshop as well as the time and skill to do it I am gonna make a Lord of the Rings weapon collection. I don't have any pics of the stuff i have done yet but I will have some this Saturday.
Here is a list of the weapons/armour i have planned to make and or started:
- Fotr Prolouge Elven Spear (done)
- Fotr Prolouge Elven Sword (done)
- Phial of Galadriel (meshed out just need to texture)
- Sauron's Mace
- Theoden's Sword Herugrim (mesh started)
- Eomer's Sword Guthwine
- Shards of Narsil
- Anduril
- Gondorian Sword
- Boromir's Sword (mesh started)
- Boromir's Sheild
- Boromir's Horn
- Gandalf the Grey's Staff (mesh started)
- Gandalf the White's Staff
- Easterling Pike
- Easterling Sheild
- Galadrihim Bow and Arrows
- Moria Orc Shield
- Moria Orc Sword
- Gonna try to get permission to use the Hadhafang, Glamdring, Nazgul sword, Sting, and Gimli Axe that are already made)
- Fremen Chrysknife from Dune. Not from LotR but still very kewl and i don't wnat to make a whole thread about it! (Done)
If there are any other Weapons, Armour, or other items from LotR that you think I should make go ahead and tell me. I am gonna try making LotR creatures and races later but I need to get some tutorials for that first.

I'll have to watch this one closely, I love the weapons from LOTR. Thought I would throw in two more which might make some good additions, The Elven Hunting knife that Aragorn carries ( here), also the Fighting Knives Of Legolas ( here), and maybe even The Sword of the Witchking ( here).
Don't know if you were planning on adding these or not, but I thought I would put them here

Actually, I think that Aragorn's Knife and Legolas knifes have been made. Anybody know, if not i will add them to the list. And the witchking sword was made by Ent_Went_Moot along time ago.

The knives is in The Hidden Pathway mod along with many other cool weapons.
As for requests... I would like to see Sarumans Staff, the Galadrim Bow Legolas uses and a common Rohan broadsword/shield.

For my humble part, I would truly enjoy any and all LOTR weapons spurred by one's personal imagination, rather than accepting those presented ready-made from the films. The "Bow of Galadriel" has always been near and dear to my own imagination.
Ringil and Grond would also be most welcome. Good luck with this, and if you haven't already done so, please read beyond the trilogy into The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales!

Hey everybody! Ok, at the rate I am going I can bust out one mesh everyday! So far this week I have the mesh for Aragorn's Hunting Knife, Easterling Pike, the Phial of Galadriel mesh fixed , Elvish Spear tweaked a little , rounded the Elvish Sword more , and Gil-Galad's spear Aiglos done.
I also have seom additoins to the list of stuff I am working on:

- Witchking's Gauntlets
- Galadrhim Quiver
- Various Banners that you can carry
- Rohirim solgier gear (armour, sheild, weapons)

One thing tho: StarBoi already made some very nicely done lotr weapons especially the elver warrior sword, I also tried tried this weapon once but his is way better, so maybe you could ask him to use his creations. just a suggestion of course.....

You are correct. Star Boi made some very beautiful (yet high-poly) LotR weapons which can be found in his The Hidden Pathway mod. Also, Wave_Existence made a collection called the LOTR_Weapons_V1 where those items were also available.

After perusing dozens of tutorials about armour and clothes making I realize one thing...I can't do it! I cannot comprehend that tutorials! They are confusing me more than I already am! But anyways...I am going on break on this for awhile since my mouse is acting up again. The catcher thing in the mouse that translates the ball's movement is broken or something and i need a new mouse. Try to buy one this week but maybe next week.

My friend and I wanted to start a Middle Earth mod. The problem is, neither of us are expereinced in the Construction Set. I have been figuring it out as I have been going on, but I know we can't do animating or meshing. Well the One Ring has already been made, I think it is in the Lothlorien mod...maybe. As for progress I havn't done any thing new due to lack of texturing tools. I will start meshing again next week cuz school will be over then! Hurray for summer!

I think it was, but that mod clashes with another mod of mine and, i didnt think it was very good anyway so i got rid of it. Maybe a new ring texture with the mordor elven language on the sides? I would'nt wear it, i'd just put it on a shelf in my home as it would look cool. I might occasionally rub it affectionately though... my preccioouusssss... ahem... now that over, would it be possible?

LOTR mods never go out of style! Of course, what I'd like to see is more Gondorian armor mods - not merely the plate armor from the films but the mail shirt, gloves, and black surcoat with the White Tree. An ensemble with such a fine surcoat would be truly awesome - better-looking armor never existed!
A bit off-topic, but does anyone know where to find mods for medieval European weapons and armor? I've tried searching the web and the forum, to no avail.

I've been studying gandalf for some time now, and i have a few things to add... first of all, gandalf the white's robe could be a project, once you learn how. also, i think you should make another Gandalf the White's staff that goes in the lefthand slot, and would act like a shield, so that it can be carried without the sword, and it would be cool to have offhand of Glamdring....

Oh yea! I was also thinking about making some of the great locations from Middle-Earth! So if you have any places ( nothing really huge! Like for example I can't do Barad-dur since you would barely see aup the first 100 feet! ) that you would like to see in it go ahead and tell me.
And another thing: the way I plan on having the items sold/gotten is by a certaom character from the ooks. But I don't want to ruin the surprise so I will jsut five one clue to who it is and if you want to see if your guess is right you will have yo PM me. Well sorta...I think I understand how to mamke Helmets and if not I am sure that SOMEBODY can take the mesh and fix it up so that it WILL work. But alas! I still don't understand the making of cuirasses, pauldrons, etc.! And, since nobody has offered any great tuts ( hint hint hint! ) I might not be able to make some of the stuff that I really wanted too!

Also, I got my computer fixed but due to the fact that school starts on Wednessday and I ahve a few other mods and a few other games I am focusing on I am going on a prolonged hiatus.
Still looking for anybody who can convert to NIF and texture for me though!
